For the first time in San Diego High’s 143-year history, San Diego High had finalists in both the singles and doubles Western League tournament – the premier grouping of teams within the San Diego City Conference.

Sasha Goldschmied bested Point Loma’s top player in a thrilling three sets to earn her spot in the final, and the Caver doubles duo of Mayzee Penick and Ella Carrico topped Cathedral’s second squad to advance to the tournament’s third day.
